Knotty and rustic solid wood planks with cracks (some open), resin pockets in a lively grade. Dimensions: 2000 x 140 x 21 mm (L x W x H) Packaging unit: 1.12 sq m Surface: untreated, micro-beveled Grade: Rustic, wild with occasional, isolated defects regarding dimensional variations, warping, and planing flaws. 5% waste should be factored in. What the customer needs to know: Solid wood is a very valuable piece of nature that needs 100 years or more to grow before it reaches your home. Unless otherwise agreed, the surface is raw upon delivery, knots and open areas are filled with colored putty, the edges are beveled on all four sides, and the lengths vary. Solid wood planks have a natural tendency to expand and contract! Therefore, gaps, hollow spots, cracks, splintering, and cupping in the planks are “normal” and do not constitute grounds for complaint. These can also be easily repaired by hand. Solid wood planks are thus a very practical product, as there are many repair options available should something happen. Likewise, there are many solutions for repairing stains, scratches, and dents. Please note that, unless otherwise agreed, our solid wood planks do not conform to standardized grades; each plank is unique and is used as it was grown. We therefore recommend including a 5% allowance for waste in your parquet flooring calculations to allow for the occasional rejection of boards with significant knots. Pay attention to the room climate! The greater the deviation from a “healthy” room climate (20-23°C and 45-60% relative humidity), the more pronounced the warping and other typical characteristics of the wood will be, as described above regarding swelling and shrinkage. This is especially true with underfloor heating, fireplaces and wood-burning stoves, excessive sunlight, etc., or with excessive humidity. Excessive humidity refers to exceeding the limits of relative humidity and going beyond simply damp mopping. Follow the care instructions! Proper care is crucial for maintaining the value of your parquet flooring. Therefore, care for your floor exclusively according to the care instructions. Other methods or cleaning products will void the warranty! The care instructions were provided to you with the quote. Visual inspection: Wood is a highly technical and complex product to manufacture. Despite ongoing, rigorous quality controls, errors cannot be completely ruled out.Should you find a board with a non-standard finish, we can replace it free of charge. Please inspect the boards and set aside any affected boards during installation. Boards that have already been laid cannot be returned or exchanged.
