The Homematic IP radiator thermostat – compact with a 5-year battery life – actively helps save energy within the Homematic IP smart home system. This tamper-proof controller replaces existing radiator thermostats and enables energy savings of up to 33% through demand-based heating.
The thermostat is easily mounted onto M30-threaded valves using the metal nut. No modifications to the heating system are required. The compact thermostat is operated exclusively via a free app (via Wi-Fi connection in the home network and remotely) or an additional wall thermostat, making it ideal for offices, small businesses, children’s rooms, or even tight spaces. The included tamper protection and sealed housing prevent unauthorized manipulation and theft. Thanks to its exceptionally long battery life, the radiator thermostat also requires very little maintenance.
After installation, the app allows you to define individual temperature profiles with up to 13 changes per day across 3 adjustable heating profiles – so the office is pre-warmed upon arrival in the morning, while valuable energy is saved after work. Of course, the room temperature can also be adjusted manually via the app, a Homematic IP wall thermostat, or conveniently by voice command (Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant).
But that’s not all: Measurements from the Fraunhofer Institute have confirmed that the Homematic IP radiator thermostat – compact – automatically performs a dynamic-adaptive balancing of each individual radiator – comparable to hydraulic balancing. This ensures that the heating is always set efficiently – every day and in all weather conditions.
