The Homematic IP radiator thermostat – basic is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and actively helps save energy. The smart controller replaces conventional radiator thermostats, enabling energy savings of up to 33%. The thermostat is mounted on the radiator without any modifications to the heating system or tools and is immediately ready for use thanks to a pre-set heating profile. Three individual heating profiles with up to 13 changes can be set per day via the Homematic IP app. This allows Homematic IP to heat specific rooms only when needed. Setup can be done flexibly on the device itself or via the Homematic IP app (in conjunction with the Homematic IP Access Point). The Homematic IP app also allows you to access the Homematic IP system anytime, anywhere. If desired, you can also conveniently control your Homematic IP radiator thermostat via voice commands using the Homematic IP skill for Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It becomes truly smart when combined with a Homematic IP window and door contact: If this detects an open window, the radiator is automatically turned down. When the window is closed again, the radiator resumes its operation. The radiator thermostat can be integrated into a comprehensive smart home system via the app. The cloud solution allows, for example, the temperature to be adjusted anytime, from anywhere.
