The GARDENA smart SILENO free robotic lawnmower 19923-20 operates without boundary wires thanks to satellite-based navigation and real-time kinematics, and can handle lawns up to 1,200 square meters. Installation of the smart SILENO free is very convenient, as no additional antennas or signal masts need to be installed in the garden as reference points. The robotic lawnmower receives the reference data necessary for real-time kinematics via the internet. To get started, simply place the charging station in the garden. The smart SILENO free is then integrated into the GARDENA smart system via the gateway and can be accessed and configured from anywhere using the free GARDENA smart app. Using the app as a remote control, the mower is guided along the lawn’s edge around the mowing area during the initial setup, learning its virtual boundary. The full functionality of the Localization and Navigation Technology (LONA) is also available. With LONA technology, the lawn area is mapped in the smart app and can be divided into zones. This creates a virtual map with different areas for which individual mowing frequencies can be set. Shady areas, where the grass grows more slowly, can be mowed less frequently or even skipped entirely, and no-go zones can be defined that the mower should avoid. The app also allows you to view the mower’s current position in real time. The smart SILENO free robotic mower is equipped with the Trim-to-Edge function. The cutting unit with its three blades is now located at the rear of the mower. As soon as the robotic mower reaches a wall or fence, it turns 180°, glides smoothly along the edge, and reaches almost all the blades of grass.
