thus protecting cultivated plants. Unlike other active ingredients, no repellent mucus secretions are found on the beds. After consuming the bait, the slugs retreat to their hiding places and die. For this reason, dead slugs are only found on the beds in exceptional cases. The success of the Ferramol treatment can therefore be measured solely by the reduction in feeding damage. Ferramol Slug Pellets are particularly effective against: * Large Garden Slug/Strawberries * Large Garden Slug/Leaf * Netted Field Slug * Spanish Slug **Further Information:** Ferramol Slug Pellets are highly attractive to all plant-damaging slugs. Instructions for use Application rate: 5 g/m² (= one slightly heaped teaspoon). Ferramol slug pellets should be scattered evenly between the plants at the beginning of an infestation or when the first signs of feeding damage become visible. Application is best done in the early evening when the slugs leave their hiding places. Be sure to scatter Ferramol slug pellets broadly across the entire bed threatened by slugs. In cases of heavy infestation, also treat adjacent beds where the slugs retreat. Never scatter Ferramol in heaps or only in a ring around a few plants. If the bait is completely or partially consumed the next day, more must be scattered. This way, newly arriving slugs will also be caught. If the soil surface is dry, the treated area should be briefly watered. This allows the bait pellets to absorb water and become more attractive. In cases of heavy slug pressure, scatter the pellets directly after planting. If the soil surface is very coarse and crumbly, it is recommended to smooth the soil as much as possible. This prevents the bait from disappearing into the cracks and thus becoming inaccessible to the snails. Up to four applications are permitted by the regulatory authority.
