To calculate your required output, the influence of the outside temperature, the installed insulation, and the room’s lighting must be taken into account. Notes: The fireplace must be placed on a stable, level, and fireproof floor. A stable and fireproof base can be used to protect the floor, extending at least 150 cm in front and 50 cm on each side. No flammable or easily ignitable objects or partitions that could be damaged by the radiant heat should be located within 50 cm of the fireplace’s radiant heat zone. It is essential that the wood is dry. Wood with a moisture content of less than 20% is considered dry. This is achieved by storing it for at least two years in a dry and well-ventilated place. The wood should be split and stacked for storage and should be between 5 and 15 cm thick. Installation by a qualified professional is recommended.
