WARNING & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!

The Coral 360 is a belt-secured, advanced electronic child restraint system (ECRS) of the “Universal” category. It is approved for use in “universal seating positions” according to UN ECE Regulation No. 129, as specified by vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle’s handbook. If in doubt, contact the child restraint system manufacturer or a specialist retailer.

Car seat category: i-Size infant carrier module (40–75 cm, up to approximately 12 months)
Car seat position: rear-facing

The Coral 360 can be attached to a Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base. Please ensure you have carefully read the instruction manual for this base.
Alternatively, the Coral 360 can be used with your car’s 3-point seat belt.

SECURITY

The child car seat was designed for intensive use over a period of approximately 6 years.

Coral 360 in the vehicle

• The child seat can be rotated 360° by installing it on the rotating Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix 360 base. This makes it easier to get your child in and out of the vehicle.
• When using the safety belt, ensure that the safety belt buckle is in a straight line and remains below the belt hook of the child seat.
• The vehicle’s seat belt must be routed tightly along all green markings. For proper installation, read this manual and the stickers on the side of the child seat.
• Only use a forward-facing seat with a 3-point safety belt that complies with the ECE R16 standard.

DANGER:

• Only install the child seat in a rear-facing position in a forward-facing vehicle seat.
• The child seat must always be locked in the rear-facing position while driving. Under NO circumstances should you drive if the child seat is in a sideways position (for getting in) or any other unlocked position.

Baby in Coral 360

• Make sure that no more than a finger fits between the strap and your baby (1 cm). Tighten the strap if there is more than 1 cm of space.
• Use the Coral 360 seat reducer only until your child reaches a height of 60 cm. Then remove the seat reducer from the Coral 360.

WARNING:

• Never place the child car seat and/or soft carrier on elevated surfaces (e.g., tables and chairs).
• To prevent the child car seat from tipping over when being carried, check beforehand that the carrying handle is locked in the carrying position (A1).
• When attaching the Coral 360 to a stroller, you must always use the appropriate car seat adapters and secure the Coral 360.

Using the soft carrying case

• Fold down the carrying handle and take the soft carrying bag handles from both sides in one hand.
• Press the soft carrier bag release button on the side of the safety tray to release the soft carrier bag.
• Lift the soft carrying case out of the safety tray.
• When you place the soft carrying case back into the safety tray, it must click audibly into place.
• The soft carrying handles retract automatically when you release them.
• Slide the carrying handle as far as possible towards your child’s legs until it clicks into place (position A1).

WARNING:

• Always check that the indicators on the stretcher’s release buttons have turned green. If not, you must continue pushing the soft carrier bag into the safety tray until it clicks audibly into place and the indicators turn green.
• Before carrying your baby in the soft carrier, you must correctly fasten them using the integrated harness system. Never transport your baby unfastened in the soft carrier.
• Make sure the carrying handle is in position A1.
• The soft carrier bag cannot and must not be used in the car without the safety tray. It must always be secured in the safety tray.

Coral 360 in an airplane

• Attaching the Coral 360 to a passenger seat in an airplane differs from installing it in a vehicle.
• Securing the Coral 360 with a two-point safety belt is only permitted on airplanes.
• The Coral 360 may only be used on forward-facing passenger seats in an airplane.
• The soft carrying case can and must never be installed in the aircraft without the safety tray.
• Place the Coral 360 rear-facing on the passenger seat. Thread the 2-point safety belt through the belt guides. (1, 2) Fasten the 2-point safety belt buckle. (3) Tighten the 2-point safety belt. (4)
• The bar of the Coral 360 must be folded upwards.
• The buckle of the 2-point seat belt must not be positioned in the belt guide of the Coral 360. Otherwise, secure fastening is not possible.
• To remove the Coral 360, open the buckle of the 2-point seat belt by flipping open the clasp. (5) Pull the 2-point seat belt out of the guides. Ensure that the Coral 360 does not fall off the passenger seat when opening the buckle.
• The Coral 360 must remain strapped to the passenger seat in the airplane, even when not in use.
• The Coral 360 may only be used on passenger seats designated for this purpose by the airline.
• Do not install the Coral 360 in the airbag deployment area.
• The instructions of the cabin crew must be followed.
• If the fastening instructions and the user manual are not followed, the safety of your child cannot be guaranteed.

Remove all bags and packaging materials before use.
