The base meets the requirements of the stringent R129 approval standard and is compatible with the ISOFIX system – simply connect it to the locking bars between the seat cushion and backrest of the car seat. Special indicators change color to show correct installation. This eliminates the need to reinstall the base after each removal of the infant carrier, as it remains locked in place. For even greater safety, it is equipped with a support leg that provides additional stability. The base is designed for the Astrid i-Size car seat and is sold separately.

The base for the Astrid i-Size child car seat is compatible with the ISOFIX system – simply attach it to the locking bars between the seat cushion and backrest of the rear seat, then unfold and position the support leg. Correct installation is indicated by indicators on the base that change color – from red to green – to show that the base is properly engaged. The child car seat is attached to the base using a locking mechanism – a characteristic click will be heard when it is correctly engaged, indicating that the infant car seat is securely fastened.

Comfort in everyday use

The Astrid i-Size Base is a product that significantly simplifies the daily use of the car seat. The base remains securely attached to the car seat at all times, allowing you to easily remove and reattach the car seat – without having to reinstall it each time. This means the infant carrier can be easily unclipped and effortlessly reattached to the base before the next car journey. For even greater convenience, the support leg can be stored in a compartment on the base, providing more legroom when traveling without a child.
