If you’re looking for an urban bike and one gear isn’t enough for you, then a fixie or singlespeed isn’t suitable, but hopefully the AIRTRACKS UR.2820 is!

This bike comes with a maintenance-free Shimano Nexus 3-speed internal gear hub and no unnecessary weight-saving features. The Tektro V-brakes mounted on the frame offer better braking performance than expensive dual-pivot brakes or heavy mechanical disc brakes. As is typical for bikes with internal gear hubs, this model does not have a coaster brake, which is a clear advantage if you’re not comfortable with that type of brake.

If you ever decide to make the bike all-weather capable, that shouldn’t be a problem, as the frame and fork already have mounting holes for permanently attached mudguards. A rear rack could also be added.

To further reduce weight, the UR.2820 comes standard with a rigid fork instead of a suspension fork. The reduced weight isn’t the only advantage – a rigid fork transfers your muscle power to the road more efficiently. This is because a suspension fork absorbs some of your force.

The Schwalbe KOJAK 700C-35 tires ensure sufficient grip and comfort on uneven roads and bumpy cycle paths.

If you plan to commute to work by bike and don’t want to wear special cycling shorts, you don’t need to worry with the UR.2820. It features a fully enclosed chain guard, which reduces maintenance and provides significantly better protection from dirt.

With the UR.2820 you get a simple urban bike that has the potential to be expanded into a complete city bike.

This bicycle is delivered 98% assembled. Only the handlebars and pedals need to be attached. Final assembly for safe riding should be carried out by a qualified person.
