Iron window – square stable window, antique window for renovation, iron

This window is ideal for renovations, installation in a garden wall, or in a stable building.
It is also very well suited as a garage window – the window size can be easily increased by adding wooden or stone pillars!

The surface, covered with surface rust, has a deliberately rustic and vibrant appearance.
If you don’t like the natural rust finish: cast iron only develops surface rust, which can be brushed off
, and the window can then be painted with standard paint in your desired color.

We offer suitable glass panes for the iron window in various options.
The windows are available in any quantity and are very easy to glaze.

These are standard 4 mm window glass panes, precisely cut to fit each window.
It is also possible to order mirrors, frosted glass, or antique glass for the window.

Glazing is very simple:
there is ample space on the back to install glass or a mirror.
The glass panes can be installed using linseed oil putty, as was done historically, or very simply and quickly with silicone.
(We would gladly offer you pre-glazed windows, but this is not possible due to the risk of damage during transport.)

The last three images show examples of the different glass options:

Antique glass: This gives the window a convincing antique look. The view through it appears slightly blurred and wavy, with small bubbles – but the window remains transparent.
Frosted glass: The room remains bright, but it is not see-through.
Mirror: From a distance, it looks like a real window and is effective on a house wall, as it reflects the surroundings.

Please note that our glass panes must be custom-made for each window, which may extend the delivery time.
Since window glass is a custom-made item, it is non-returnable.
