Iron window, hinged stable window, hinged skylight window

It is particularly suitable for installation in a ruined wall to define the patio area.
It’s also wonderful for renovating old buildings or for installation in a garage wall!
The window is made of cast iron and was cast according to a historical original.
Therefore, please note that when closed, it does not offer the same level of airtightness as modern windows.
If you do not wish to use the opening function, it can be sealed with silicone in the rebate.

The surface, covered with surface rust, has a deliberately rustic and vibrant appearance.
If you don’t like the natural rust finish: cast iron only develops surface rust, which you can brush off
and then paint the window with standard paint in your desired color.

We can supply suitable glass panes for the iron window.
The windows are available in any quantity and are very easy to glaze.
We offer glass in various options.

These are 4 mm standard window glass panes, precisely cut to fit the respective window.
It is also possible to order mirrors, frosted glass, or antique glass for the window.

If you wish to glaze the window yourself, it is very easy:
there is ample space on the back to install glass or mirrors.
The glass panes can be installed using linseed oil putty, as was done historically, or very simply and quickly with silicone.
(We would gladly offer you pre-glazed windows, but this is not possible due to the risk of damage during transport.)

The last three images show examples of the different glass options:

Antique glass: This gives the window a convincing antique look. The view through the glass appears slightly blurred and wavy, with inclusions of small bubbles – but the window remains transparent.
Frosted glass: The room remains bright, but you cannot see through it.
Mirror: From a distance, it looks like a real window and is effective on a house wall, as the surroundings are reflected.

Please note that our glass panes are custom-made for each window, which may extend the delivery time.
As window glass is a custom-made item, it is non-returnable.
