The Grisport® “Stubai” trekking boot is an affordable trekking boot made from the finest oiled cowhide. Water-repellent, windproof, and breathable thanks to the Gritex® membrane. The tongue and shaft end are lined with Cordura®, both inside and out. The heel is also reinforced. A removable footbed provides additional cushioning. A grippy and sure-footed Vibram® sole ensures secure footing and comfort on slippery, rough terrain. Shaft height: 17 cm. Weight: 1350 g/pair. Made in Italy. Instructions: How to properly clean and care for stalking and trekking boots! Admittedly, there are better things to do right after a stalking session than grabbing a sponge and brush and scrubbing your shoes. But that’s exactly what we should do! Find out why and how in our instructions. How do I properly clean my stalking boots? 1. Remove the laces and insole: This prevents dirt from settling unnoticed in the small gaps. 2. Remove dirt from the surface and sole with a coarse brush: Tip: Keep a small brush in your backpack or car. This allows you to remove the most stubborn dirt immediately after stalking. 3. Clean the shoes inside and out with lukewarm water: After a short exposure time, you can clean the shoes with a sponge or a soft (!) brush. 4. Let the shoes dry thoroughly: Avoid direct heat such as heating or ovens! This can cause leather shoes in particular to become brittle and tear. Better: Stuff hunting boots with kitchen roll or newspaper and store them in the boiler room or on the balcony. What do I need to consider when caring for my stalking boots?
