Our awning fabrics are made from 100% polyacrylic.

Good awning fabrics and sun sails in Europe are made from this material, as these fabrics were specifically developed for outdoor use.

Our awning fabrics offer shade and very high UV protection of over 50. Only specially treated fabrics provide this level of protection. With some other shade providers, you might experience an unpleasant surprise in the evening – discovering you’ve suffered a painful sunburn while thinking you were safely in the shade. This won’t happen with our awning fabrics. You can relax under the shade provided by the awning without worry, even if you have very sensitive skin.

A good quality polyacrylic fabric differs from a cheaper one in that, during the manufacturing process, the threads are first solution-dyed. These dyed threads are then woven into a fabric. This process ensures significantly higher lightfastness and colorfastness than that of cheaply produced fabrics.

Because of the way they are woven and because the fabrics are treated with a special impregnation after weaving, our fabrics have a water-repellent effect. They achieve a water column rating of 300 mm (a value commonly used in outdoor clothing), meaning that water will not penetrate the fabric for an extended period, giving you time to retract the awning.

Therefore, our awning fabrics do not get soaked immediately in the rain and can be closed without exposing the internal electrical components to the risk of damage from moisture.

The water-repellent lotus effect also provides resistance to other environmental influences, such as dust and pollen; these small particles can combine with water and bead up.

Our tightly woven polyacrylic fabrics also have excellent tear resistance; the fabric withstands moderate winds for years. Even strong winds won’t easily tear the fabric. Therefore, it’s especially important to retract your awning in strong winds and protect the mechanism.

Since polyacrylic is a fully synthetic material, it is also resistant to rot and offers a long life cycle with this property as well.

This ensures that your awning fabric will look beautiful for a long time.

A standard awning fabric has a width of 120 cm. This width is obviously insufficient, so the fabric panels for our awnings are adjusted and sewn accordingly. This is done in the direction of the awning’s projection. As a result, the fabric may have slight waves or minor creases, which in no way affect its lifespan, quality, or function.
