Instructions for use
For acne, pimples, oily, blemished, and inflamed skin: In a bowl, mix 7 parts Luvos healing clay with 3 parts water to form a creamy paste. Apply the freshly mixed paste to your face and neck, avoiding the eye area and lips. The face mask will be dry after approximately 20-30 minutes. Applying a thicker layer of the paste, which increases its absorption during drying, will take a little longer. You will know it is completely dry when it has turned an earthy yellow color without any dark spots (residual moisture). For particularly sensitive skin, the mask can be removed before it is completely dry. For very oily or flaky skin, you should initially use the face mask 2-3 times a week; later, one mask per week is sufficient. Remove the mask with lukewarm water. You can also combine removal with an effective exfoliation. Temporary tightening sensations after application are due to the healing clay’s active properties. Eczema, rashes, allergies, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis: Luvos® healing clay has a comprehensive, balancing effect on the skin. A gently cooling compress is applied with Luvos® healing clay. The therapeutic goal is to relieve itching and, in the case of eczema, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis, to gently remove scales. In these conditions, germs and the lipid film, along with its pro-inflammatory substances, bind to the Luvos® healing clay. It also inhibits secretion and promotes normal wound healing. Luvos® healing clay is not only suitable for treating existing scaly patches. Early application to the affected areas of skin can mitigate new flare-ups. After the healing clay has dried, it is rinsed off with water. This gently loosens scales and promotes healing. Cellulite: For cellulite, body wraps with Luvos® healing clay detoxify and firm the tissue. Apply the compress to the affected areas for approximately 20-30 minutes. Afterwards, rub off the healing clay with a cloth and rinse away any residue with clean water. The compress increases blood circulation in the affected areas and activates the metabolism. The skin’s appearance will visibly improve. Apply the compresses regularly, 2-3 times per week. Mouthwashes and gum compresses: Mix one tablespoon of Luvos healing clay in half a glass of lukewarm water – or even better, in chamomile tea. Use for muscle and joint pain: Cold applications are used for acute inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, bruises, contusions, and sprains (sports injuries). The cold stimulus and the pressure of the moist healing clay poultice on the treated area constrict the blood vessels and reduce muscle tension. The metabolism in the affected tissue slows down, inflammation is reduced, and pain is quickly relieved.Even the often painful swelling subsides gently. A significant suction effect occurs as the healing clay dries. The flow of fluid from the inside out removes excess tissue fluid that accumulates in tissue effusions due to injury. This results in a soothing warming of the deeper tissues, allowing the healing warmth to work from within. Warm applications are primarily used for slowly degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, as they improve blood circulation in the muscles and thus provide soothing muscle relaxation. Inflammation: Luvos healing clay is applied directly to wounds and inflamed areas as an ointment-like paste. This includes, among others, burns, sunburn, insect bites, superficial phlebitis (e.g., varicose veins), and inflammation of the lymphatic vessels. Cell toxins, bacteria, and decomposition products are bound to the healing clay, thus promoting the wound healing process. The cleansing effect of the clay extends to the underlying tissues. This results in a particularly intensive interaction between the healing clay and the inflamed tissue. This also leads to faster pain relief. Weeping wounds dry more easily. As a general rule: the larger the area to be treated, the thinner the healing clay paste should be applied: pencil-thick on larger areas, finger-thick on smaller areas. Wrap the area with a damp compress and cover it with a dry cloth. Dry dusting with healing clay powder is used for bleeding or exudate wounds. Due to the large surface area of the healing clay, bleeding is quickly stopped and exudate is absorbed. Weeping wounds dry more easily, and wound healing is promoted. Don’t worry about “clay” in the wound: the fine healing clay does not provide a breeding ground for pathogens. This results in a particularly intensive interaction between the healing clay and the inflamed tissue.
