The new second-generation Esker – GEN2 – is an exceptional choice for those who want to unlock the full potential of gravel bikes and enjoy riding on a wide variety of terrain, including challenging sections.

The new GEN2 Performance Aluminum Frame:

This high-quality 6061 aluminum performance frame makes the bike stiff and break-resistant. At the same time, it’s a relatively lightweight material whose properties can surprise many cyclists. The frame is powder-coated, which enhances the durability of the paint and its resistance to mechanical damage.

During the frame’s development, KROSS opted for an internal cable routing system, giving the bike a clean and uncluttered look. This system also reduces the risk of cable breakage when riding on rough terrain.

The frame, with its high-tech, ground welds, features numerous mounting points for bags, racks, fenders, and more. There’s also a dedicated spot for mounting a kickstand. The lightweight and stiff carbon fork, developed by KROSS, features internal brake cable routing and can be swapped for a 30mm travel suspension fork.
The lowered center of gravity and increased wheelbase improve the bike’s handling, both with and without luggage. The new GEN2 frame also means a lower crossover height, making the bike more comfortable for a wider range of gravel riders.

High-performance components:

The KROSS Esker 5.0 GRX 1X12 is equipped with SHIMANO GRX components that perform perfectly on both asphalt and off-road. KROSS has used the proven GRX 400 2×10 drivetrain, which provides a comfortable ride in all conditions. With an 11-34 cassette, you’ll ride fast on flat terrain and tackle steep hills with ease.

To ensure safe braking in all conditions, hydraulic disc brakes from SHIMANO have been installed. They offer significantly higher braking power than classic V-brakes. Furthermore, the braking force can be modulated much better and more precisely than with mechanical disc brakes.

For the ultimate riding experience, the KROSS Esker 5.0 GRX 1X12 is equipped with 45 mm wide WTB tires, perfectly suited for all conditions. It also features a Selle Royal saddle, specifically designed for gravel bikes.

As with all high-quality bicycles, pedals are not included. These bikes are typically ridden with a clipless pedal system, which the customer selects and purchases according to their needs. You can, of course, also use standard platform pedals.
