Explosion-proof pallet truck – suitable for use in ATEX zones 1 and 21.
Our protection principle is based on modifying the pallet truck into an explosion-proof material handling device, while largely retaining the original properties and performance of the explosion-proof pallet truck . The pallet truck is delivered with an ATEX certificate.
Measures to reduce the risk of ignition:
- Avoidance of static electricity charging
- Mechanically generated sparks are avoided by coating the picking surfaces with non-rusting stainless steel (this increases the height and width of the fork tines by a few millimeters).
- Installation of a grounding strip to prevent electrostatic charging (see illustration)
Equipment:
- Entry and exit rollers
- Extra reinforced drawbar for push operation
- High-quality powder coating
- Controlled release via the hand lever
- Steering wheels: PU on aluminum rim
- Fork rollers: PU tandem
- Including conversion for use in Zone 1+21 (gas+dust protection), Gas Group IIC (except CS2/carbon disulfide), Temperature Class T6, ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, Equipment Group II, Category 2G

| Warning notices | 1. Only operate a pallet truck after you have checked its condition. Pay particular attention to the tiller, hydraulics, wheels, and forks. Do not attempt any repairs unless you are trained and authorized to do so. 2. Only operate pallet trucks from the designated operating position. Ensure that no body parts come into contact with the lifting mechanism or under the forks. Do not transport any people. 3. Do not lift unstable or loosely stacked loads. Exercise extreme caution when handling long, tall, or wide loads to prevent the load from falling or the pallet truck from tipping over. 4. Do not overload the pallet truck. Refer to the nameplate for load capacity information. Overloading can cause the pallet truck to malfunction. 5. The fork’s load capacity assumes an evenly distributed load with the center of gravity located midway along the forks. 6. Ensure that the fork length matches the length of the pallet. 7. Lower the forks to their lowest position when the pallet truck is not in use. 8. Hand pallet trucks are designed for general use on level, flat, hard surfaces. It is important not to operate a pallet truck on an incline with loads that are too heavy for the operator to handle easily. |
