Older wood-burning stoves are facing obsolescence. While they provide cozy warmth and comfort, they release excessive amounts of particulate matter into the air. Stoves manufactured between 1985 and 1994 had to be decommissioned or retrofitted by the end of 2020, those built between 1995 and 2010 must be retrofitted or replaced by the end of 2024 if they do not meet the required standards. You can still prevent decommissioning or the costly replacement: Retrofit your wood-burning stove now with a Chimney Filter Cat. The Chimney Filter Cat is available in black and dark gray to match our range of flue pipes. It is the only electricity-free Chimney Filter Cat with DIBt approval.
